Shane Clark, Chief
West Pikeland Police Department

I joined the Spring City Police Department in September 1974 as a patrolman, following in my father's footsteps. I attended the Pennsylvania State Police Academy graduating in April 1977. During the next 16 years I was employed by several different Police Departments in Chester County as well as Montgomery County. During that time I held several different assignments such as traffic Officer, Juvenile Officer and Criminal Investigator. On February 7, 1990 I was sworn in as a patrol Officer with West Pikeland Township. In 1994 I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and Officer in Charge of the department after the death of Chief Sidney Brown. In 1999 I was promoted to the position of Chief of Police.

I have been an elected member of the Board for the Chester County Police Chiefs Association and have risen through the offices to the position of President which I currently hold. I have been on the executive Board of the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police since 2002 and am currently a Trustee.
